During the third quarter of 2023, the top 5 dining and restaurant applications in Kenya showed varying trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

Pizza Inn Kenya from Simbisa International experienced fluctuating weekly downloads. The app saw a peak of 3.8K downloads in the week of June 26, followed by a decline to around 1.2K downloads by mid-July. Downloads picked up again, reaching 2K in the week of July 24 but fell to as low as 713 in mid-September, before rebounding to 1.5K by the end of the quarter.

Golden Bell published by Flipdish, demonstrated a more stable trend in weekly downloads. Starting with 644 downloads in late June, the app saw a slight increase to 964 in mid-July. This was followed by a gradual decline, reaching 453 downloads in the last week of September.

KFC Kuwait - Order Food Online by Americana Food Co showed a significant increase in weekly downloads over the quarter. Beginning at 358 downloads in the last week of June, the app's downloads surged to nearly 2.5K by the end of September. The weekly active users mirrored this upward trend, starting from 1.7K in late June and peaking at 3.5K by the end of the quarter.

Java House Africa Loyalty by Novacom Systems Limited saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads. From 118 downloads in late June, the app's downloads grew steadily, peaking at 668 by the end of September.
